1998 VW Volkswagen Golf GTi in Derby, Derbyshire for sale
1998 Volkswagen Golf GTI 1.8 20v (non-turbo) 142,300 miles MOT until September 24th No tax Selling for my sister who has had the car since April last year, but she has now moved to London and is on her bike instead! Car is in decent condition all round, bodywork is pretty good with only some minor marks and light scuffs/dings, only what you would expect for 15 years and 140k miles! Has a glass tilt and slide sunroof, 4 x electric windows, electric mirrors, remote locking, alloys, CD stereo, etc. Interior could do with a good valet, but is otherwise ok, small repaired section to the drivers bolster is about the only noticeable thing. Nice set of fitted mats. Car drives fine, no untoward noises, knocking etc, engine pulls well. Tyres all have excellent tread left. Cambelt was replaced by Sunset VW in 2006 at approx. 94k miles. (invoice is dated but doesn’t show mileage, from the previous MOTs that are with it it is somewhere between 90k and 97k). Exhaust possibly has a small blow somewhere if I remember correctly. The only advisory on last was ‘offside rear brake binding slightly’, though it had some work done on the brakes for last MOT and had no problems since. Comes with two remote keys (one doesn’t work, presume a new battery will be needed), a few old invoices including cambelt, v5 document, MOT’s back to 2005.
